Associate Membership

Licensed Midwives in WA state work with a wide variety of other healthcare professionals in order to provide high quality, high value primary maternity care services. Throughout the course of care for a childbearing woman, her fetus and her newborn, a Licensed Midwife (LM) may refer her clients to see a pediatrician, to attend a childbirth education class, to meet with a perinatologist, obstetrician or family practice doctor (if deemed necessary) or to see any of the following midwife-friendly businesses:

• Acupuncture
• Body Work/Massage/Cranial Sacral
• Business/Consultant Services for Midwives
• Childbirth Education
• Chiropractic
• Counseling and Support Groups
• Doula Services
• Fertility & Assisted Conception
• Lactation Services
• Naturopathic Care
• Pregnancy and Birth Products and Supplies
• Schools and Educational Programs

If you are a Healthcare Professional, an Allied Birth Professional, a business or an organization who works with midwives or are supportive of the Midwifery Model of Care, you can join MAWS as an Associate Member. Associate Membership with a directory listing costs $100 and is especially designed for those professionals, businesses and organizations interested in promoting their services in the MAWS directory while supporting MAWS.
