Scholarship & Loan Repayment

Licensed Midwives and Certified Nurse Midwives in WA state are eligible to apply for Scholarships and Loan Repayment if they plan to work or are working in medically underserved areas. The Health Professional Loan Repayment and Scholarship programs were created to address the critical shortage of health care professionals in Washington State.

Health Professional Loan Repayment Program

The Health Professional Loan Repayment program was created to attract and retain licensed health professionals to serve in critical shortage areas in Washington state. The program provides educational loan repayment assistance to licensed primary care health professionals.

Health Professional Scholarship Program

The Health Professional Scholarship program was created to attract and retain health professionals to serve in critical shortage areas in Washington state. The Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students training to become primary care health professionals.
