EVERYONE DESERVES SAFE MIDWIFE CARE

Your donation helps us build a washington State where Good health and wellness ARE centered for every birthing person.

Picture
There are many meaningful ways to support the essential work of the Midwives' Association of Washington State (MAWS) an organization devoted to advocacy, education, and equity for midwives and the families we serve.

Membership is open to midwives, students, friends, and supporters who believe in the power and necessity of midwifery-led care. Your annual membership dues help sustain the daily operations of this primarily volunteer-run organization, while connecting you to vital networks, communications, webinars, volunteer opportunities, and annual meetings.

Donate. Your financial contributions help us do more. With your support, MAWS can:
  • Continue to provide free memberships to midwives of color
  • Fund our quality educational programs and conferences for CEUs
  • Sustain our gold-standard Quality Management Program, ensuring safe and supported peer and incident review
  • Support our unrelenting lobbyist, Amber Ulvenes, who defends the rights of all Washington midwives and the families they serve
  • Advocate for reasonable licensing fees and reproductive healthcare access for all
  • Deepen community outreach, collaboration, and visibility for midwifery across Washington

Stay Connected.
Sign up for updates, follow MAWS on social media, and invite others to do the same. Your voice amplifies our movement.

Keep in Touch.
Whether you're practicing, organizing, or advocating, tell us what’s happening in your community. Your insights help us shape responsive, relevant strategies at the state and national level.

Ready to give back?
Your midwife gave you so much, this is one way to give back. Help us ensure every family has access to high-quality midwifery care.

Land Acknowledgement
MAWS acknowledges that we live and work on the unceded ancestral lands of the Coast Salish tribes and pay our respects to all of the ancestral homelands and traditional territories of Indigenous peoples who have been here since time immemorial. We recognize that this land touches on the shared waters of tribes and bands within the Duwamish, Puyallup, Suquamish, Tulalip and Muckleshoot nations. We recognize we are grateful to be guests in these lands and commit to show solidarity for the continued fight for Indigenous sovereignty.
