- The Washington State Orientation Manual of Licensing and Professional Practice Issues for Midwives was created to help prospective and new midwives understand the laws and access resources that pertain to licensed midwifery in our state including information about how to obtain a license.
- The Washington State Department of Health has all the detailed information you will need to aply for your license.
- Interested in becoming a birth assistant? Northwest Birth Assistants (NWBA) offers education, skills training, support and networking for those interested in a career in Birth Assisting. Their BIrth Assistant Basics Course package is a complete training program (offered in a hybrid format and online) for birth assistants.
